Synesso designed the steam valves to rebuild without removal. We bring the kits and complete the work in 30 minutes per valve.
If your bar program uses straight 9-bar volumetric shots, we will tell you that an S200 gives you Synesso build quality at $7-10K less than an MVP and fewer parts to maintain.
Tripped heat breakers are the #1 cause of Synesso "panic calls." We diagnose by phone first — if a breaker reset is the answer, you do not pay for the visit.
If we're on a job or it's after hours, this form is the fastest way to get on the schedule. Tell us the machine and what it's doing — we call or text back with a diagnostic estimate and an arrival window.

Synesso was founded in Seattle in 2004 by a former La Marzocco engineer. The machines are built like vault doors — stainless frames, brass and copper internals, no compromise components. We service the full current line plus the early MVPs that other shops will not touch.
Current flagship. Independent pump and brew boiler per group, 4-stage pressure profiling, full M/MP/VP mode switching. The high-volume choice.
Same MVP technology as the Hydra but shared brew-boiler architecture. Lower price, slightly less recovery under back-to-back peak load.
Low-profile auto-volumetric. Synesso build quality without the pressure-profile complexity. Excellent value when the bar program does not need MVP.
Older platform, still in service across many LA cafes. Multi-boiler, manual paddle. We service these.
Single-group home/light-commercial. Touchscreen, manual paddle. Compact footprint for tight bars.
Earlier control board generation, different wiring color codes. We carry the diagnostic schematics.
Most common Synesso call. Either steam tip clogged with milk-protein scale, or mineral restriction in the line. Different tip styles between left and right wands also cause apparent pressure differences — always confirm tips match before chasing a fault.
On MVP Hydra, each group has its own boiler and PID, so drift on one group is local to that group’s sensor or SSR — the others stay stable. Diagnostic isolates fast.
On MVP, MVP Hydra, and Cyncra, a breaker under the machine cuts heat. Owners panic; resetting it fixes the call. We document the location for every customer on first visit.
Hydra uses 4-magnet flow meters — more accurate than older 2-magnet, but mineral buildup on the magnets still drifts the count. Clean the flow meter before reprogramming.
Synesso steam valves are designed to rebuild without removal — a real serviceability win. We carry the seal kits.
Synesso’s saturated group head holds seals well, but the EPDM still flattens after 24-36 months of heat cycles. Pressure drop during extraction is the tell.
Older boards use different wiring than current builds. Diagnostic time is longer but the parts are still available through Synesso direct.

Synesso units mostly live on cafe bars and hospitality counters, so the dispatch pattern follows the commercial corridors: Synesso repair in San Diego, Synesso repair in Santa Monica, Synesso repair in Inland Empire, Synesso repair in DTLA, Synesso repair in Los Angeles and Synesso repair in Orange County. Same technician, same rates everywhere on the grid — 25 cities across five counties, same-day when the schedule allows.
Recent job: 8-year-old Synesso MVP 3-group at a Silver Lake cafe, group 2 brewing cooler than groups 1 and 3 by about 3°C. Diagnosed PID temperature sensor drift on that group, plus a slightly oxidized SSR. Replaced both, recalibrated. Total: 2 hours, $385 parts and labor, all three groups back to within 0.5°C of each other.
A Synesso MVP that has been on water filtration its whole life will outlive the cafe that owns it. We have serviced two 12-year-old MVPs in LA still pulling commercial volume. The honest opinion is: if you are buying used, the water history matters more than the model year. Ask for filter-change records before you wire-transfer.
Tell us your Synesso model and what's wrong. We'll respond within the hour with a diagnostic estimate and ETA.
